Bergstien Synagogue, the only synagogue in Oslo. After the Nazi occupation almost all Jews were exterminated. Somehow this synagogue survived and is today the centre of Hebraic community life in the city.
Old Aker Church (Gamle Alker Kirke). It is a medieval church in Oslo city centre. Still active today and is thought to be the oldest surviving church and possibly the oldest building of any kind in gthe city of Oslo. First erected in 1080 and rebuilt in the 18th century.
